Breeder referrals
If you're considering the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel for your family, our website should help make your choice easier. You can research and familiarize yourself with the breed standard as this will help you understand the variety within the breed.

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel originated in Britian and combines the gentle attentiveness of a toy breed with the drive and athleticism of a spaniel. For a brief history of the breed, please visit this page on the parent club website, the ACKCSC.

The Cavalier is known for its regal beauty and even temperament. The sweet, gentle expression emanating from large, round eyes is a breed hallmark. Another is the silky, richly colored coat that comes in four distinct color patterns – Blenheim, Ruby, Tri Color and Black and Tan. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are known for being equally at home on the couch or athletic companions depending on their owner’s lifestyle.

All breeds have certain health issues. The Cavalier is no exception and every responsible pet owner should research and increase their knowledge so there are no surprises. By being informed you can ask your breeder questions about health tests as well as nutrition and other topics regarding the care of your new family member.
By purchasing your dog from a reputable breeder you can be confident of its pedigree, its health and all the careful planning and care as the litter was raised.
